Sohal Brothers is a father-and-son trucking operation based in Sydney. This is who we are and how we work.
Sohal Brothers started the way most good transport businesses do: with one driver who kept getting asked back.
Our father has spent more than twelve years in heavy vehicles — Sydney metro work, regional NSW, and linehaul up and down the Hume. The lesson from those years is simple, and it's the whole business model: turn up when you said you would, restrain the load like it's your own gear, and tell the customer the truth about timing. Do that every day and the phone keeps ringing.
Now there are two of us. Father and son, two trucks, and a plan to grow carefully — adding gear and drivers only as fast as we can keep the standard where it is. The Volvo FH16 runs the interstate work. The Isuzu flatbed covers Sydney and regional NSW. Between the two, we cover most of what a freight manager needs moved on the east coast's busiest corridors.
We're a small fleet and we're not pretending otherwise. What you get in exchange is the thing big fleets can't offer: the person quoting your freight is the person driving it.

Join the family
We're growing, and we hire drivers as the fleet scales. Driving for Sohal Brothers is different from driving for a corporate fleet: you're not a run number on a dispatch screen. You'll deal directly with the owners, drive well-maintained late-model gear, and be backed by people who've done the same shifts you're doing.
What we look for
- HR, HC or MC licence, depending on the role
- Clean driving history and a verifiable work record
- Professional attitude — with customers, with the gear, with paperwork
- Load restraint competence for flatbed roles
